Halloween Decorations

Halloween is a great time to unleash your imagination and getting decorating. You can let your kids help you come up with some perfect Halloween decoration ideas and even let them help you make them.  Make them as scary or cute as you want them and don’t be afraid to go wild. Trick-or-treaters and especially your own children will love your house.

Make decorations for the inside of your house. It’s easy to find spooky spider webs at party stores that you can string up across your living room ceilings, walls, and even windows. Create bat cutouts to hang from the ceiling. Hang them up in front of your window for trick-or-treaters to see as they come to your door. Spiders made out of pipe cleaners are always a fun Halloween activity to do with your children. Buy different colors of pipe cleaners to let your children get creative with their spiders. Be sure to include classic black for some traditional spiders as well.

Don’t neglect your yard during your Halloween decorating. The most obvious part of decorating your yard is carving pumpkins. Buy a bunch of them and get creative with the designs. You can do some with the traditional pumpkin faces. Try printing out an image. There are plenty of pumpkin carving kits and online worksheets that can provide you with a template for your pumpkins. Put spiders, scary faces, and even scenes on to your pumpkins. Gather them around your front door or use them to line your sidewalk. From there you can start playing around with other decorations. Create a ghost out of an old sheet or white garbage bag to hang up on your porch. String up some more of the spider web s across your door, in the corners of your porch or along railings to add a little extra spookiness.
